World Software was a small Polish studio from Szczecin whose gritty, hand-drawn brawlers earned a cult following. Its hallmark is Franko: The Crazy Revenge, an urban beat ’em up first released on Amiga and later brought to MS-DOS, capturing the raw look and feel of early-90s Poland with memorable art, coarse humor, and thumping chiptunes. The team later created the barbarian follow-up Doman for Amiga, rounding out a distinctive, no-nonsense style. On this page you can play the DOS version of Franko online for free. Led by programmer Tomasz Tomaszek and artist Mariusz Pawluk, the studio favored chunky sprites, oversized bosses, and street-level detail.
